TutorCentral was founded late 2005 by a small group of teachers and programmers after over five years of development of technology and tools for delivery of learning and educational content. The main focus is to deliver learning online or face-to-face locally and internationally.
Tools and Revenues
TutorCentral has created tools to deliver total learning which includes instructional, demonstrative, collaborative, and individual components. These tools include online classroom delivery programs with real audio and video, online quiz creation tools with features for automatic grading and tutor feedback, online discussion groups and the most extensive online educational messageboard arranged by courses and vocation. Our assets also includes two patents in the publication stage (20060005165 and 11/306354). Registration to the service is free although tutor credentials and profiles are verified and validated. Tutors receive benefit by setting their own tutoring rates which is proportional to their qualifications and experience thus creating a competitive environment that benefits students and parents. Tutors can additionally realize income by putting up quizzes and proof reading topic relevant writing. TutorCentral realizes revenues as a commission of tutor revenues (~10%).
Results to Date
Since its launch, and with very little initial advertisement spending, TutorCentral has received application and approved over 500 tutors and conducted sessions in several states and countries such as India, England, and China. The site has also received registration of about the same number of students and parents. The next phase includes plans to advertise the products significantly to realize a scaling of the initial results.

TutorCentral is arranged into 3000 shares and is now offering 200 of these to individuals who are interested in investing in a high-potential venture in the new web economy where companies really add value and generate income. Each share is initially offered at $500. Interested investors are welcome to register on the site and attend one of the site orientations provided to tutors and students. If a decision is made to join us, please apply with our application form. When you do join, you will receive a stock certificate and agreement indicating your share.
In particular, we are interested in investors who wish to take a part in running and creating the success of the group as well. Such investors may help introduce the service to their schools, neighborhoods, school districts and local governments. Interested applications from educators and tutors are particularly welcome.
