Make an Open request tutoring!                       Tutorial Homepage

 

 

Scenario:  A parent needs a tutor to help her son prepare for his SAT exam but is unable to find a registered SAT tutor in Tutor Central's database. The parent decides to make an open request on the public calender to allow all other tutors who might be qualified to see the request. 

    1. From the Parent or student homepage, click on the link, Tutoring Request.  You will be directed to the "Tutoring request page" page, as shown below. Click the button, New Request. It will open up a pop up window - see next picture.

 

 

A pop up box will open up and you will enter your request as seen in the example below. Do not enter any selection in the  "Preferred Tutor" drop down menu. This indicate to the Tutor Central automated application that you intend to make this an open request. Click the Submit button when you have finished entering your request. Click the Home button to return to your personal homepage.

 

 

Your request will immediately be posted on the Open Request public calender and all tutors who are verified by Tutor Central as being qualified to tutor SATwill receive an email alert while other tutors, who check the calender will see your request.

 

   Tutor Central strives to protects all customers information. When tutors contact you with a reply to your request, they do not see your personal infor, your log on name is all that is visible to them to contact you with.

 

   2. From your homepage, click the link, My Calender, your request will be display there. you may click the link with your log on name to veriry that the correct information displayed is exactly what you want. You can delete your request or edit your request follow the same procedure as listed above.
